May 2nd... Ironman the live-action movie came out today. I planned to view the movie, but wasn't prepared for what more my adventure had in store for me. Firtsly, allow me to introduce you to the friends that accompanied me on this journey: Josue/

is my latino friend who (at my own physical risk...shanked by hand) I constantly make racist jokes toward but respect at the same time, Tim/Timmy/

is a... large man... of great anime knowledge and finds himself constantly assaulting my shins with his mighty kick at any offense or by whim of amusement, and Ivan (no DA account to my knowledge) who... wears a fox-ears hat and doesn't cause me pain like the other two (a bit condescending sometimes, but all in good humor).
Josue and I picked up Tim and Ivan from a PC gaming and roleplay joint called Gamer's Inn, and proceeded to the theater. After purchasing tickets for a showing two hours away, we decided to go to Cici's Pizza Buffet. By this point I had already been injured by my compatriots on a few occasions. Josue left us to run a quick errand, and I proceeded to spend $1.50 on a crane game. First $.50 I put in I used to try and get a dolphin plushie and though I failed to get it, I moved it into a favorable position. I was out of quarters, so I put the remaining $1.00 in and got 2 credits. With the first credit, I successfully won the dolphin, and still had one credit to use. On a random whim I tried with lacking effort to win a lion plush, and... succeeded!? Yep. Ivan had been my inspiration to try the crane game (which mind you I am horrible at usually), because he had won a pink bear w/ a bow tie from the machine, and given it to Tim. Tim promptly tried to trade his bear for my lion, and I accepted, which was my third win of the evening, because I shortly pointed out that the lion had no tail, but instead, stitches that appeared to be a colon. He requested to trade back, but I refused. My shins hurt after that. Ivan, Timmy, and myself proceeded to the theater, where Ivan and I competed in DDR, and were reunited with Josue shortly after. We took our seats, and watched the film. At the end of Ironman, I yelled into the audiance that there was a sequence after the credits(for I had seen G4's Attack of the Show this morning, and thusly had heard about it, but didn't know what to expect, because I hadn't been watching the show too closely). Some people, either needing to empty out that large soda, or just not wanting to take my word for it, left the theater, but some remained. My friends began to mistrust my information, and began to say that there may be a lynching waiting for me outside if the rest of the viewers had been tricked by me as well. I assured them it was no prank. They began to threaten me further, mainly Timmy, with things like, "If this extra scene isn't amazing, we'll hurt you!" and "This extra scene better be like a movie after the movie, Vance, or you will regret making us stay in here", but then Timmy said the one thing that would lead to one of the most amazing coincidences of my life thus far. *MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE EXTRA CLIP MAY BEGIN HERE, IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE THIS MINOR PLOT DEVICE RUINED FOR YOU, SKIP AHEAD UNTIL YOU SEE A DISCLAIMER WITH "***" ON EITHER SIDE* As the icons for the companies that produced the film began to scroll onto screen, Tim said, "This clip better have Samuel L. Jackson in it, or you're seriously going to pay!" I replied, "But Samuel L. Jackson's name wasn't even in the credits, how is that fair!?" Tim says back, "Exactly, I'm setting you up under impossible pretences, so that you are assured an @$$-kicking!" Two seconds later, the extra clip starts rolling. Tony Stark walks into his living room, and a man, Nick Fury, is standing over in the corner, facing away from the camera. He says, " 'I am Ironman,' huh?... you think you're the only superhero out there?" At this point, My friends and I are silent, and Ivan speaks up, "That's Samuel L. Jackson's voice...!" Tim got up from his seat, and says, "No way!", but sure enough, the figure in the corner turns around and we receive a close-up of SAMUEL L. JACKSON'S face. Timmy begins to walk hurriedly away, out of the theatre, saying, "No way! Game over! Game over man! I quit!" My other friends and laughed until it hurt, and I am still chuckling as I type this... ***SPOILERS ARE OVER***
Also, so you all know, I plan to paint my pink plush bear's eyes red, and give him the markings of Lobo, and he will ride my dolphin like a space dolphin from the Lobo comics that Lobo adores...

This is a proper art book it seems, not just 10 pages or so of renders and screens!

...anyway, i'll have to look at that when I get home, but I already have a monster hunter Sountrack+Art book... but it's small and mainly just for the CD... not enough art in it, so I'll have to take a look at this book and see if it's different.
